Mindset and Strategies - Earning Income From Working Online At Home

Motivation is key to achieving any amount of success. Passion is the driving force behind motivation and every book or eBook that has been published on the subjects of money making and motivation, screams out Passion. This is the most important ingredient in any successful entrepreneur, whether their business is online or offline. To go after that goal of working online from home for yourself requires a burning desire and passion to succeed. That desire should be strong enough to keep the fire of passion burning inside long enough for you to see the first financial returns from your online working efforts start rolling in.

When you see the first fruits of success, you become encouraged to carry on and inspired to do more. Of course, you need to have a strong belief in yourself and your abilities. There will be nay-sayers who will try and put you off, those types of people who are strongly opinionated and comment about everything under the sun. Take it in your stride, be thick skinned, don't let them affect you in any way. People can be just plain jealous that you have maybe done something, like starting your own business, that they would never have the guts to do. Don't seek approval from others, keep the belief in yourself and the passion you have to finally break free of the 9 to 5 wage slavery and strike out with your own online business. Have the ability and courage to make independent decisions and stick by them. Your conscience will be clear as you remain true to yourself. Notice that the negative opinions and nasty comments will disappear and maybe even turn into praise - "I always had faith in you", "I knew you could do it", or words to that same effect.

"What are you doing, have you gone crazy!! Don't you know that online businesses are basically scams!!??" That's the popular opinion of many people in any part of the world. Your online business needs your approval and above all, belief - heart and soul. Never underestimate that you are your own most valuable asset in your business, otherwise success and the income you planned to achieve from your online home business will keep eluding you. After all, if Thomas Edison did not believe that electricity could be harnessed to provide use with light, we would still be living in the dark ages, wouldn't we?

Being flexible with working hours (but not to the point of staying in bed all day!!), being energetic, planning wisely, focusing on short-term objectives and stress control are hallmarks of a successful online home business owner. Although it is very important to make a plan and see the "big picture", remember that you can't do it all at once. Small steps in the beginning lead on to large strides later! You may need to practice and train yourself if you think you are lacking in any of the necessary attributes. Get to know who you really are. Be honest, make a list, identify your short-comings and work to overcome them.

Having the motivation to start is very important but equally, to know when to stop is even more important. Strict discipline is required. Do not overwork or stress yourself to the point of not stopping. It will only burn out your imagination and render you useless for a period of time. Driving yourself too hard to achieve a few bucks may well cause you to lose out on that next opportunity or sale, and that could amount to a large sum of money. Discipline yourself to work the set number of hours that should be part of your plan. Remember that your online business can't function effectively without you!

Certainly at the early stages, building your online business and establishing your credibility is more important than earning money from it. This is an important truth and you should make sure your plans include sufficient funds set aside to cover living expenses. As your business begins to grow, the money you earn from it will also automatically grow.

Last but not the least, it is the fear of failure and not failure itself that leads to most failures. Keep trying, keep believing in yourself and your own capabilities. The mind is a powerful thing, if you think you will fail, then you will. You have to develop the correct mindset. Look around for books/ebooks on Business Psychology, NLP and the Law of Attraction. I have found these subjects to be very beneficial and it's no accident that most of the successful motivational speakers and business gurus out there attribute their success to having the right mindset, cultivated by one or all of these areas. Check my website regularly, as I plan to also feature ebooks and courses on the best of these subjects related to a achieving a business mindset.

Remember, if failure happens, accept it as part of the learning process. Regard it as an opportunity to appreciate the benefit of the valuable knowledge you have gained. Everyone makes mistakes, learn from them. Babies fall many times before they finally master how to stand upright on two feet - but they never give up!

Reset Your Mood in Order to Thrive!

A shift in perspective can make all of the difference between being successful and not. When you are in a healthy state of mind, meaning you're feeling positive and have an upbeat outlook towards your business and life in general, you actually THINK and ACT differently. Let's explore this a little more. When you are in a bad mood, doesn't everything seem to irritate you and further amplify those negative feelings? You see the world differently when you are in this place. You're not your usual happy self and to be quite honest, the decisions you make from this state are not the same as they would be when you're in a good mood. You are also attracting more to you of what you're putting out there. So it's no wonder that you are receiving more and more to be negative and angry about.

On the other hand - take a deep breath here and you will notice your energy change - when you are feeling good you will attract more to you that feels good. Since we're all made of energy, when you think happy thoughts you are actually vibrating at a higher frequency. It's a proven fact that you will attract more to you that's operating at the same frequency. That's why it's not a coincidence when you are having a bad day that you will attract more to you of the same nature. It's important here to have a change in perspective. To "flip" it if you will.

I can't stress enough to you how important staying positive and upbeat is for the success in your business. When you're in business for yourself, it's just you. Your business will grow when you are operating from a positive place and are making good decisions. For some strange reason, many of us have been conditioned to focus on the negatives in our lives and not the positives. We tend to put a lot of our energy into thinking about what isn't happening in our lives. We focus on the negative. As outlined above, this brings us more of what we don't want. We need to in turn flip our mindset from negative to positive and focus on all of the good things that are happening. This will lead to more of just that.

I caught myself the other day doing exactly that - thinking about all of the things that weren't happening. Then I thought, hold on a second, lots of great things ARE happening. Why am I focusing on the negative and not the positive? This was during my regular morning walk, so thankfully I had the time time to think more about this and flip my mood:) I started off my walk feeling pretty down. By the end, I was so focused on all of the good things that were happening, that I was in a great mood and motivated to work. I ended up having a super successful day! If I hadn't done this I would have had an unproductive day, which would have led to feeling badly about myself and not being a very nice mom or wife to be around, to be honest:)

Catching yourself when you start to go down that negative path is key. Try to recognize when you start to do this and flip your thoughts instead to all of the wonderful things happening in your life and business. Think about how amazing you are and that the world needs your talents. You need to own it and believe in yourself, because I think you're pretty darn awesome!

Home Business

The home business has undergone a radical shift since the days of the cottage industry in which entrepreneurs engaged in manufacturing out of houses, employing workers on a part-time basis. Today's home business is likely to be high-tech, with computers, high-speed internet, and cell phones as the main tools for reaching out to the target market. And the concept of "part-time" is no longer applicable these days: with the internet connecting the entire world 24/7, the home business is usually operational at all hours of the day.

Many successful businesses today started out as home businesses. Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak, for example, built their first Apple computers in 1976 out of a garage workshop. And Mark Zuckerberg created Facebook out of his dorm room in 2004. Today Apple and Facebook are two of the biggest businesses in the world, and while they are no longer home-based, their roots tell us just how important it is to start small.

Many people, of course, will want to keep their home business small and manageable. Not all of us have the desire to rule the world, and we are content with living simply and earning modest incomes from the labor of our hands. Fortunately, this is a very real prospect today with all the advances in technology. One who has a good product or service can readily have a global presence through a website, a blog, or by the use of the aforementioned Facebook or any other social networking site.

The key is having a niche, no matter how obscure. Many home business owners have found success selling products like fruit juices, dolls made of twine, obscure parts for guitars, and other such esoteric fare. Others have offered writing services, film editing, website creation, song composition, even virtual tours -- you name it, there are people who need it. And people all over the world are willing to pay for such products and services, making the home business a real livelihood with global reach.

There are some disadvantages to operating a business out of the home; some have reported being afflicted with depression and feelings of isolation. But done correctly, a home business can be a boon to one's personal growth not just financially but even holistically. Owners of home businesses find that, because they can operate remotely through the use of 3G cell phones and laptops or tablets, they have more time to spend outside, where they can have fun while making money. It is a no-lose proposition, one that offers benefits that people only once dreamt of.

Home Business Ideas and Opportunities That You Can Do With the Help of the Internet

Now why are you looking for home business ideas and opportunities? Is it because you believe that the success rate of a home-based business is much higher than those that are established outside the home? Just imagine the savings you'll get when you eliminate the cost of leasing a business space and getting phone and Internet connections and data lines. You can even take advantage of the World Wide Web, so you need not worry about giving up some space in your house to be your actual business site.

Lower overhead is assured if you choose to run your business at home, and that is one of the ingredients of a successful business venture. Here are some home business ideas and opportunities that you can do online.

• Online MLM distribution
If you have a huge network of friends, you can become an MLM distributor to refer or sell products from a reliable company or brand. In this business, you'll get a commission for every sale you made. You will also be commissioned for every newbie marketer you recruit to work under you. That person will be known as your downline. This means, the more successful downline you get, the more you'll earn.

Do You Have That Ability to Work From Home?

Undoubtedly, with a real work at home job there can be some real work at home problems with productivity. I mean, with the fridge and the television calling to you all day, how could you not get side tracked?

Now, if you are nodding your head in agreement, you probably don't have the necessary skills to successfully work from your home. However, it's not like these skills are in a vault somewhere deep underground where only the most extraordinary humans can access them. Nope, if you have a work from home opportunity that you'd really like to take, know that there are only two basic skills that you absolutely need.

The ability to stay focused

When you work from your home the ability to stay focused is of the utmost importance. Why? Well, because unless you have an elaborate staff working from the confines of your home office, you probably don't have anyone else to remind you of deadlines and project specifications besides yourself.

You and you alone are responsible for not only understanding the minutiae of a project but also seeing it through to completion. The beckoning from the television (and Internet) will just have to be ignored.

If your skills with this are a bit rusty, you're going to need some coping strategies. This can mean anything from a crazy amount of post it notes to actually hiring a personal assistant if only to heckle you as you wander back to the fridge. Otherwise, you may go into shock when you suddenly re-learn that the deadline for that huge project was this past Friday.

The ability to stay organized

A sister ability to staying focused, but one that's so important it deserves its own subheading. Staying organized is crucial to staying productive with any work from home employment.

Things that were once definitively outside your realm of responsibilities are now looking you squarely in the eye. Things like payroll, health benefits, stationary supplies, and all the other 63 items I'm not remembering are only going to get done if you know they need to be done.

If you aren't so organized, you are in luck. Whole sections of stores are devoted to helping people stay organized. Everything from day planners to calendar software to phone apps that chirp to remind you to put things into color coded files are all out there waiting to help you stop being a never ending hot mess.

Free Online Business

How would you like to make serious money without having to set up an office or commute to work? There has never been a better time to set up a free online business, what with all the websites and social networks that give free space to anyone who signs up. Sites like Facebook and Multiply have been virtual gold mines for those who know how to promote their free online business, and blogs have proven to be a popular way not just to express oneself but also to earn a large income. All these are available and accessible to anyone, and they are easy enough to set up and navigate so that even those with only a basic knowledge of computers can start and conduct a free online business with no problem.

There are, however, some pitfalls that one needs to avoid. For one, just because an online business is free does not mean it is absolutely without cost. You need the basics to start and sustain one: a decent computer, a steady internet connection, and a physical space where you can spend some time in front of the screen. This space need not be permanent; it can be a coffee shop, a mall, or even your own home or apartment. The key is connection to the internet: it must be reliable and constant in order to keep up with the traffic that your free online business can generate. There is nothing worse for a customer than sending an order or a query and having to wait for hours or even days before getting a confirmation or a reply. This will turn off your patrons right away and sink your free online business before it can set sail.

Another pitfall in conducting a free online business is not paying attention to what your target market wants and needs. Sure, you have the "ultimate" product or service, but if it doesn't address a real need, then no one will buy it. Here is where tapping a knowledgeable partner is important: to turn a profit, you need to know what you're doing and how to do it. These partners are not your run-of-the-mill self-help gurus that are a dime-a-dozen in cyberspace; the real ones are true resources that can turn your free online business from a mere pip to a towering tree. They can teach you how to put your products and services out there, front and center, catching the full attention of your prospective buyers and clients.

So go ahead and start your free online business. The internet is a promising world to those who know how to navigate it. It can seem daunting, but armed with the right knowledge and the right partner, you can earn a large profit for minimal effort.

When it comes to the advantages of freelancing, there are many but for the purpose of this article, only three key benefits will b mentioned. Whether you source work on your own or through freelance websites, it can make an amazing different in your life.

Financial freedom

Whether you already have a regular day job or not taking up a freelance job will give you that extra financial security. It's a great way to plan and prepare for holidays or weekend getaways which would not have been possible without the extra income. You can also pay off debts and buy things that you 'want' and not merely 'need'. Creative outlet

If you are a stay at home mom, you will probably want to do something different other than change diapers all day or run after your kids. Take a look at what you're good at. Often, highly educated women end up quitting their day jobs to look after their children. However, this doesn't mean that you have to give up on your career. It is quite possible to have the best of both worlds. One of the 3 advantages of freelancing is that you can sit at home and still use your skills and experience to earn a living. Home Based Business - Affiliate Marketing for Beginners

Affiliate marketing is one of the easiest home based businesses to get into. This is due to the fact that you do not have to come up with a product or service on your own. Instead, you spend your time marketing someone else's product or service. In exchange, you get money for every customer that the business owner gets from your efforts.

How to Get Into Affiliate Marketing

Affiliate marketing for beginners is really very easy. You simply choose an affiliate program or product, and create a website to market it. Your only real expense is the website itself. You may be able to build the website yourself using online web building tools. However, you will still have to pay for a domain name and ad free website hosting. These are your only expense, however, which makes affiliate marketing one of the cheapest home based businesses to start up.

Choosing an Affiliate Program or Product

You will want to make sure that you choose your affiliate program or products and services carefully. It is best to start out with products and services in a niche you know something about. This way you can easily market the product or service in a myriad of ways without paying someone to write content for you.

You also want to choose affiliate programs and products that you can believe in. It is much easier to promote something when you believe in it completely. Affiliate programs are organizations that offer you a wealth of products and services to choose from, and they usually offer a lot of support for you as well. This makes them very good for affiliate marketing for beginners. When choosing a program, you want to choose one with no fee to join, or only a small fee to join. You also want to make sure that they have the support you need to get started

What to Do Next

Now that you have an affiliate program selected and have built a website to promote it, you may be wondering what to do next. It is not enough to build a website to promote the product. You must actively market that product and your website. The more targeted traffic you drive to your site and the more people who click on your affiliate links, the more money you will make.

There are several ways to market your affiliate products and website. One of the easiest ways to do so is through article marketing. You can write informative articles about the niche the product or service falls in, and entice people to go to your website for more information. This allows you to drive targeted traffic to your site. Targeted traffic is people who are already interested in the subject of your website before they arrive there.

Another thing you can do is place free advertisements on websites such as Craigslist. These free advertisements don't cost you a thing, but they can really help drive traffic to your affiliate marketing website. There are many other things you can do to market your site and products for free, and these things will be explained to you in a good affiliate marketing for beginners program.

Data Entry Jobs From Home Without Investment

Data entry jobs these days really consist of transcription. Lots of businesses and government agencies need individuals who can listen to audio recordings and quickly, efficiently and accurately convert the recorded words into a typed transcript. With broadband internet, data entry jobs from home without investment are becoming a reality.

First the good news. There are many firms advertising for qualified people who can fill the need for transcription. They are recruiting people with training incentives, and although many companies demand qualifications that are top-notch, including experience, familiarity with medical or legal terminology, and above average typing skill, some are willing to work with entry level beginners and offer tools to help them along.

This article will showcase a bit of both. The bad news, at least for some of my readers, is that many of the top paying firms offering data entry jobs from home without investment require that the transcriber be a U.S. citizen. That may have something to do with the fact that much data entry deals with medical, financial and legal information that is private and liability suits await the company that can't keep a tight rein on their contractors. All require a background check. Overseas contractors are much harder to vet. But if you are a U.S. citizen that is one stipulation that gives you a rare advantage these days!

Here are a few common themes to the postings I investigated for companies offering data entry jobs from home without investment.

-You must be able to touch type at 70 to 80 WPM.
-You must have an above average command of English grammar and usage.
-You often need to have understanding of specialized terminology and vocabulary; e.g. medical terms, legal terms, etc. -You must be able to commit to blocks of time where you can do the work as it comes in to provide the company with a quick turnaround. Busy moms with unpredictable schedules and lots of distractions would not be the best candidates for this work. Retired professionals with great typing skill and uninterrupted blocks of time that can be flexibly scheduled probably would be better candidates.
-You must be willing to work on call, at times when the need arises, and be flexible. The work comes in flurries and there is down time between jobs.
-You must be willing to work as an Independent Contractor under IRS tax rules.

Here is one example that represents the mechanics of the job: The company sends you an email with an mpeg attachment that has 30 minutes of audio of a board meeting. You open your word processor and plug in your foot pedal*, and open your transcription software.

* The foot pedal is a USB device that works with the software. It allows you to play back the audio as you type and start and stop it with your foot, freeing your hands up to type. Some companies provide the hardware and software. Others require you to provide it yourself.

You transcribe the audio into a document, shoot it back to the company and move on to the next job.

There is a tremendous need for bilingual transcribers as well. Especially in the legal arena.

So if you have the typing chops you can make a good income online doing data entry jobs from home without investment. It's a great gig for someone who matches the special qualifications for these companies:

Why You Need to Stop Waiting for the Right Time to Start Your Freelance Business

Are you waiting for that perfect moment to start your freelance business?

The moment when you feel completely prepared, ready to take on the world with your brand new skill?

Well, here's your wakeup call: there is no "perfect moment." You can never be fully prepared to be a freelancer, whether you're a designer, a writer, a coder, a coach, or any other profession.

This isn't really such a bad thing. After all, you can only prepare so much beforehand - most of the learning and the stuff you'll do to eventually reach "guru" status will be learned as you go. The lessons you learn and the mistakes you make will be more valuable than your days, months and years spent preparing in advance.

But this isn't an easy concept to accept. When I first started out as a freelance copywriter, I spent nearly six months completing the copywriting program I chose to complete, devouring every gem offered within. But when I was done with the course, I didn't go out right away and try to get clients. I bought more courses... put more books on my "must read" list... and spent all my time soaking up more information on copywriting, advertising, and the world of marketing.

Rather than being confident in my skills and just accepting that I'd always have more to learn, I kept waiting for the "right time" to get started.

Reasons for delaying

Nick Usborne, a freelance copywriter and coach says there are two main reasons freelancers tend to delay starting:

1. You have a fear of rejection. Starting any kind of business is scary, and freelancing is no different. It means you have to put yourself out there, find clients, be rejected, even cold call (this one still nearly makes my heart jump out of my chest). It means you might fail and fail often.

2. You feel you're just not ready yet. There's a voice inside of you telling you that before you take the big leap you have to keep learning and broadening your knowledge, whether this is by reading books, taking more courses, getting any necessary certifications, etc. Essentially, you feel like you need to be an "expert" before you can put yourself out there.

The fact is, both reasons are just excuses to procrastinate. Yes, starting is scary, but everyone has to go through it (you'll get used to rejection soon enough, trust me). And you'll never become an expert without actually diving in and just doing it, no matter how many books you read on the subject.

How to start

You'll never be the expert you want to be until you get going on your freelance business and have some experience behind you. So here are a six ways to squelch the fear of starting and just get yourself out there:

1. Realize you know more than your clients do. If you've spent any amount of time studying your subject, you probably know more than most, if not all, of the clients you'll ever work with. You've studied this one thing for a long period of time, while they've probably only ever had time to learn the basics (after all, they're not a specialist like you).

Plus, says Nick, "you only have to know 10% more than your client." That extra 10% is the value they're paying for.

2. Accept that you'll always have more to learn. Whatever your field, know that even the top guys and gals are continually learning. It's what keeps them at the top of their game.

John Carlton, one of the best copywriters in the business, calls this the "apprentice for life" mindset. By being humble and never balking at learning something new, you will never get stale, and you'll be able to better adapt to the ever-changing nature of your business.

3. Make specific goals, and stick to them. Keeping a list of daily, weekly and yearly goals is the best way to stay on track and always headed in the right direction.

To do this successfully, make your goals as specific as possible (such as, I want to be the top copywriter in the financial services niche), determine the steps you need to reach your goals, and always keep track of how far you've gone. Writing down your goals in a journal or computer document will allow you to look back on how far you've come and can be the much-needed catalyst that keeps you going.

4. Rejoice in your mistakes. Everyone makes mistakes. Expect them. But you'll learn faster and get light years ahead of your peers if you actually make the mistakes yourself, rather than just reading about them.

Just make sure they're "smart" mistakes (i.e. not easily avoided) and you take their lessons to heart so you never make the same blunder again.

5. Go tell everyone else you're doing it. There are countless studies that show that when you make a goal public, you're much more likely to actually follow through than if you kept the goal to yourself.

This has a lot to do with your own willpower as well as a fear of being publicly humiliated. So when you're starting your freelance business, go tell everyone you know you're doing it. Trust me, you'll be a lot less likely to put it off if your friends, colleagues and loved ones know about your plans. The accountability will keep you on track.

6. Limit your learning resources. As a beginning copywriter, I typically found myself signing up for two or three courses at once, reading countless books and blogs, and consuming every copywriting-related resource that came my way at once. This essentially meant that when I should have been prospecting for new clients, I was reading about my trade. As a result, I got started way later than I should have.

Don't take this as a command to stop learning (obviously, I'm a fan of continuous education). Just be smart about your learning resources. Stick to one book at a time, only buy a new course if it will dramatically add to your skill-set (such as your niche), and always make your main priority your business.

It's hard to take the leap. But sometimes, you just have to jump!

Tips On Assessing Business Ideas That You Have Generated For Your Online Home Business

Feasible business ideas are evaluated by analyzing the demand for the product or service, weighing the available resources and looking at the skills, talents and knowledge you have. The process of assessing your ideas involves reflecting on all the business ideas and income generating activities you have generated and zero down to three most promising ideas, looking critically at the advantages and disadvantages and basing on your experience and judgment.

To successfully assess the three business ideas that you have selected, you should use a table to tally your results for each business idea and categorize them into columns of skill and competences, available equipment, access to raw materials, financial resources and sufficient demand. Then use the following questions to guide you:

1. Which of these business ideas matches my strengths?

2. Which idea(s) can help me to achieve my personal goals?

3. Which resources do I need in order to realize the business idea?

4. Which gap am I feeling? Is it a need or a problem?

5. Are there people out there who will buy my product or pay for my service?

How to assess your business ideas basing on your skills, talents, knowledge and competencies

First of all, you have to assess the extent to which you possess the required skills (manual, personal, social, technical). If you do not have the required skills, you should think about other options like finding someone else with the skills to help you.

If you have to find someone else with the skills, then you should ask yourself further whether you will be able to afford to pay for this person contributing to your business. Remember that additional costs from employing someone might mean a reduction in your profit.

If you find out that the required skill can be performed by you without any problem, that idea should receive a high ranking. But if you discover that your skill level is low or nonexistent as, far as the skill required is concerned, then the idea should be rated low.

Secondly, you have to look at the future of the business idea by asking yourself which other secondary skills you have to acquire to fulfill your business goals. And how are you going to get them?

How to assess your business ideas in relation to the available resources

By resources, I mean mainly financial resources, human resources and other inputs like raw materials. You have to think about the start-up and working capital. The good thing online businesses do not require huge sums of money to start. You can start humbly and grow your business.

However, you should take note of the financial resources you need to invest in buying equipment (computer) and start-up expenses. You need to think about having cash that you will use to meet the day-to-day requirements of running your business. A positive rating only applies when you are able to have all the money required to start the business. And a very low rating implies that you cannot have anything to start the business.

Secondly, you have to focus on other related inputs like equipment and raw materials (e.g. software). When using certain equipment, you need to possess certain skills. Additionally, you need to look at the availability of the equipment, now and in future, and the challenges you may encounter when using it.

Raw materials are what you use to produce the product. A good business should have a steady inflow of raw materials and their availability is so important. If they are readily available, then give a high rating. But if there are problems or seasonal fluctuations in availability and price, then the rating is low.

Assessing your business ideas basing on the demand for the product or service

Here you should focus on your unique selling proposition, something special about the idea that can make it more attractive. The demand for a product or service means the extent to which customers want it. You have to take the level of competition in the marketplace. The demand of a product or service is also related to the ability of the targeted customers to buy. They may have the need for the product or service but when they have no money to pay for it and this means the actual demand is low.

Having gone through the whole process, you will then select one business idea that has received the highest number of scores and note down the points using the points below:

1. What's the idea and what's its status

2. What market does the business idea address? Are there any customer feedback or testimonials?

3. Why do you believe you have the advantage in the marketplace in relation to the market needs?

4. What's the competition in the marketplace?

5. Who is the team that is going to make the business succeed?

6. What's your long-term vision for your business and the projected returns on investment?

7. What's the estimated total funding required executing the business plan?

8. What amount of financing are you seeking initially?

Finally, a proper write-up of the analysis of your business idea will be very important for you to further develop a business plan and to convey all the essential information in a more clear and concise manner. It enables you to communicate in a likeable, passionate and credible way to capture the attention of others, especially the people you want to support you as you start your business.

Combat Workplace Stress With Your Own Business

You may not realize it, but working your 9-5 job may be more damaging than you think. We all complain about our jobs and try to prepare ourselves every weekend for going back to work at the beginning of the week, but little do we know, the stress and negative emotions may have more of an impact on your health.

One of the most common stressful things that come from your job is being overworked and yet having absolutely no control. As soon as you arrive to your job, you are put to work - however, your freedom is limited to none. The projects you are given are usually not your ideas, and you seem to be working off of someone else's schedule. Peter L. Schnall, MD, occupational stress expert at the University of California, says that these high-demand, low-control jobs are the cause of much psychological strain. Being able to own your own business where everything is in your control will help decrease stress and let you know that everything is being handled the way you want it, and you are not being controlled by someone else.

Another stressful situation for employees is that of someone who works all the time, puts in 100% in everything that they do, shows off their bosses and works nonstop - even after arriving at home, and receives no credit and no recognition. When you are an eager person, willing to give it your all in what you do and receive no compensation or approval, this can be extremely stress inducing and is not good when trying to achieve your goals. Look at your career goals and decide if you would rather work your tail off for no reward, or find what you want to do, do it, and receive your proper credit. In a home business, you will display your eagerness to succeed and people will recognize it.

Along with the two examples above, this all can lead up to serious fatigue and that's a very dangerous position to be in. When you are mentally beat down, this leads to weaker defenses in your physical body, which leads to general weakness and lethargy that is not healthy at all. If you feel so frazzled that you might end up having a breakdown, that's when you need to seriously take a step back and find out how to fix the problem.

Don't endanger or restrain yourself by working in a place that causes you stress and health problems. Fortunately, with so many opportunities arising from home businesses, there is another way to save your health and to continue working in a stress-free, healthy workplace - your home!

Not only is it important to consider a home business, it is also important to consider what type of home business you run.

What Does It Take to Become a Successful Direct Marketer Online?

Have you been tossing around the idea of a new career - as a direct marketer online? Are you wondering what it will take, and whether it's really the right choice for you?

If you've been searching the internet for online marketing opportunities and companies you've likely heard about all the great ways your life will change, all for the better. A lot of people are selling online marketing pipe dreams. Do these sound familiar...

  • Work when you want
  • No customers to deal with
  • Work at home on your computer
  • Never be laid off or downsized
  • "Make a ton of money"
  • "Never miss another of your son's soccer games"
  • Fire your boss
  • Join our upside-down, instant-cash matrix now and get rich!

But have you had an in-depth look at what it will really take to be successful? Don't be burned with such empty and false online promises. Starting a business requires some serious thought.

  • You have to work. Nothing happens until something moves, and that means what you're selling. The more focused time you invest in your business, the more money you'll likely make.
  • You must have customers. You can't do it all on your computer. You'll need to talk to people -on the phone and in person.
  • You must have cash to invest in marketing your business. To get those people to talk to, you'll have to find them - with marketing and advertising. Starting any business takes investment.
  • Your hours may not be your choice. You may have to work when people are home and you can reach them by phone. That can mean evenings and weekends.
  • Even though you'll likely be working with a system your company has made available, you'll still need to do the work, get on the phone, place those ads, and learn the skills.
  • Does your company have a skills training and mentoring program? If not, where will you get the training you need? Personally, I'd run if this was missing. It would be a deal-breaker.
  • If you are choosing a multi-level business, your compensation will depend on the success of the people who join your team. As they sell, you get a percentage of their sales. Many of these will not succeed (probably up to 95%), so you will be constantly looking for new team members. Have you the skills to coach and train others?

A lot of people look at online or internet direct selling as a "spare time" business. Sure, you can start it as a part-time business. However, don't expect to make thousands per month quickly. It takes work, planned action and personal responsibility to succeed.

Never invest in an opportunity that you are not sure about. Instead, find something that you are interested in and will enjoy doing. In other words; do what you like doing, and the money will follow.

Ask yourself if you are committed to the success of your business. And don't fool yourself - this is a business.

Do you have the self-discipline? Can you stick to a schedule you've set up? Are you able to be accountable?

Are you ready to take advantage of the training and mentorship your company offers?

And finally, do you have a big enough dream to keep you going?

Online marketing can be very rewarding and fulfilling. If you're willing to put in the time and do the work, there are many benefits, from building income to meeting new friends, having time for travel, and creating a lifestyle of choice. Just choose wisely.

3 Reasons Why ANYBODY Can Build A Website and Make Money!

Want to build a website? Not sure where to start?

If you're like most people, the prospect of building your own online website business interests you. Buy you may be intimidated by all of the technical jargon out there.

You may feel like it would take you forever to learn how - or that there's just too much to cover.

But that's actually not true.

You see, about 10 years ago, that may have been true. It was quite technical to build a website - and even harder to make money with it.

But today things have changed drastically. Here are 3 reasons why anybody can build their own website to make money online.

#1 Easier-To-Learn Website-Building Tools

When I started out building websites, you had very limited options. Most people bought software like Dreamweaver (which was very expensive - and difficult to learn to use) and spent a few months practicing on it.

They built their website offline and then used FTP to uploaded it to the World Wide Web through their webhosting service.

You usually had to have at least some rudimentary programming knowledge and know HTML to build a half-way decent-looking site.

It could be slow and arduous - especially for those of us who aren't that technically savvy.

But that's actually not your only option anymore. While you can still use old methods if you choose, there are a ton of new, simpler tools you can use to build your site. And the great news is that you don't need to know any programming to do it.

There are WYSIWYG site builders and drag-and-drop web design tools. You can get super-simple software or build your site online.

For example, I recently tested out 2 new website builders - and both of them took me less than half a day to learn (and I am not a techie by any means - I still have to call my husband to update my computer virus software).

So there are better website builders out there - builders that make it easy for you to create and design a show-stopping website - without you having to learn a single line of code!

#2 You Have Something Unique To Say and Share With Others

Another reason that anybody can make a website is that everybody has something unique to say and share with the world.

People think that there are so many websites out there that they couldn't possibly compete. But that's just not true.

OK, so you probably shouldn't go head-to-head with Amazon or Best Buy. But I guarantee you that you can contribute something that others haven't heard before - just because of your own unique view and life experiences.

For example, there are tons and tons of websites out there on how to build a website. But one thing I noticed was that many of them were too technical (because they were written by very smart, tech-savvy people who'd build tens or hundreds of websites using programming, CSS, PHP etc).

So they were completely intimidating for a newbie.

Several friends of mine (who knew I'd been making my living full time from my website businesses) kept complaining to me about how they wanted to build a website - but didn't understand all the mumbo-jumbo out there.

They just wanted a simple, straightforward, step-by-step guide for people who didn't want to learn programming or spend months designing a site.

So I started a site to help these friends - and others - on how to build a website for beginners who didn't even know a line of code. It's a niche site - building a website - but specifically and only for beginners.

I have another friend who is a diabetic. Instead of building a massive site on diabetes (which is a big subject), she focused on her particular interest - natural supplements that she has found useful in lowering her blood sugar.

Another friend is using her skills as a raw food chef to design a video series she'll sell from her website, teaching people how to get healthy with raw foods.

There are so many ways you can build a site that is unique. Even if you just want to build your own blog with a record of your favorite vacation. There will be lots of people who could use tips and would appreciate your feedback on your favorite hotels or sites to see.

#3 There are More Ways To Monetize Your Site Than Ever Before

The third reason anybody can build a website and make money is that there are so many more ways to make money than ever before.

Again, when I started out 10 years ago, there were a few things you could do. Affiliate programs and maybe sell your own eBook. But even those options were limited (there wasn't a lot of affiliate merchants and only a few ways you could distribute your eBook).

But today the options are mind-boggling. For example, you can take 5 minutes and place Google ads on your site - and start making a revenue share from people clicking on those ads.

You can write and sell your own eBook from your website as well as through Amazon and even the Apple store. You can sell video downloads from your website.

And affiliate programs are better than ever. (Affiliate programs are where you refer your website visitors to an online product. If they buy, you get a percentage of the sale).

You can refer your visitors to anything from gourmet chocolates to motorcycle parts to outdoor fountains to pool equipment. Basically, anything you have an interest in - there's probably an affiliate program for it.

You can also make money through professional referrals. For example, if you run a website on cosmetic surgery, you could make money from local cosmetic surgeons advertising on your site.

There are so many options these days on how to make money, it's simpler than ever. In fact many people use several of these ideas on their site to produce multiple streams of income.

So those are 3 reasons why anybody can build a website and make money today. While it does take an investment of time and energy, it's so much easier than ever before.

If a complete 'non-techie' like me can do it - you can do it too my friend!

What Is a Solo Ad? (Part 2)

In Part 1 of this article series, we discussed what a solo ad actually is and one method of buying them. In this article we will look at the other method of sending solo ads using Ezines.

As every online marketer knows, it is vital to build a list of potential customers and buying customers to whom you can sell your product and services. To sell your products and services, you need to these customers to your website and one of the most effective ways to drive traffic to your website is with solo ads. For a more detailed explanation of how a solo ad works, please refer to Part 1 of this article.

Ezines are basically online newsletters or magazines sent to subscribers by email. There are small ezines with a few hundred subscribers to large eznies with hundreds of thousands subscribers and there are topics on just about everything

The great thing about solo ads with ezines is that you can reach a large number of people who you already know have an interest in your product or service. The ezine publisher will send out your solo ad independently of the ezine itself.

It is a really simple way to send out a campaign to a target audience. Find the right ezine that is related to your product or service, write your copy, pay for solo ad and the publisher will send it out to their subscriber list. And you know in advance they are interested in what you offer! Basically, you are using the ezine publisher's list to boost your own list. The publisher already has a list on many subscribers and when he sends out your message it is, in effect, the publisher endorsing you and your business to his subscribers.

As there are so many ezines available, before you buy your solo ad campaign, you have to check that the ezine is right for you. Do visit the publisher website and look at past editions of their ezine. Also, subscribe to their mailing list and read a few issues. If the ezine is aimed at your target audience it should be relevant to you and if it is not, why should it be relevant to your potential customers? You have to sure that it is a quality publication that subscribers will look forward to receiving as your solo ad will be seen to come from the publication - not you.

Finding your way through the sheer number of ezines available can be a lot of hard work. If you want to save time and find proven lists there are a number of ezine directories available online. Some provide not only all the research, prices and lists you need but also non-ezine advertising resources, marketing advice and consulting services.

With any solo ad, whether it is sent via an online marketers list or to an ezine subscriber list, you must ensure that your ad is well written with clear benefits so that the reader will click on the link within your text and provide you with their name and email so that they can be added to your prospect list.

Starting Your Own Childminding Business - Our Story

I started working as an Ofsted-registered childminder nine years ago when our daughter was born. After two years of quality time with her I felt ready to go back into part-time employment.

The hours involved early starts and as my husband was a lorry driver also with early starts child care was immediately difficult. We managed to juggle childcare with a number of different arrangements. However this often fell apart when either two people would arrive to collect her from nursery or sometimes no one would turn up and I would get a telephone call from the nursery telling me that our daughter was still there. I had to leave employment and return to childminding. If I was going to offer childcare as a service and do it as a business I wanted to do it well, my ethos was to try to provide quality, flexible childcare.

Starting any small business, especially a childcare business, is dificult to begin with. It takes time to get known and trusted. As time went by I became known in the area and I gained more children. This eventually progressed to the point that I needed an assistant especially at meal times and afternoon school pick up time as I had children to pick up from two schools at the same time. At this time my husband was looking to change his job so the solution became evident. My husband became my assistant, however this posed other problems. He could not have the children on his own because he did not have a paediatric first aid certificate. We also needed more children to now cover two incomes. By becoming a registered childminder in his own right we were able to address both of these issues at the same time so in September 2010 he became an Ofsted-registered childminder. You will need to address similar problems as your business grows. You will progress to the point where you may need assistance but to be able to justify the cost of employing someone you may need to increase in size even further. This can be really challenging and for some periods may mean working long hours.

When my husband joined me we had a parent approach him specifically as she particularly wanted a male childminder as she felt her children needed a male role model in their lives. So don't be put off by employing male childcare staff it may even bring in more business!

Throughout our time working together we have continued to keep in mind our initial ethos of providing quality, flexible childcare. Its worth trying to stick to your initial goals don't provide a lower quality service just because your business is growing, if you do you may find your business shrinking again. For us it has meant that at times we have taken on work that other childminders have shied away from such as early starts, (07.00) and even Sundays. We now tend to start at about 07.45 and our last children go home about 18.20 although at one time our last children would not go home until nearly 19.00. Bear in mind though that offering such a service can easily put a strain on your own family and personal life.

Trying to run a successful and profitable business whilst also being good parents and having time for each other is a struggle. The best advice is to provide a quality service and eventually you are able to be more selective about what you choose to take on. Also as your business grows you may well find yourself in more of a management position looking after your childminding assistants rather than the children themselves. That may be where you want to end up for us we prefer to keep our business at a size that enables us to continue doing what we love looking after children. Remember it takes time to establish trust in any kind of new business and this is especially true when running a childcare service. It also takes time to determine the balance between trying to run a successful business while not encroaching too much on family life.

What Is a Solo Ad? (Part 1)

Every online business, to make money online, needs a mailing list of customers who will buy from them.

Building a list is hard work and takes time to drive targeted traffic to your website.

One of the most effective ways to drive traffic to your website is with solo ads.

The solo ad will contain information about your product and service and contain a link to your website or landing page. If the reader considers your offer beneficial to them, they will click the link to find out more information. To receive more information, you ask the reader to provide their name and email address into a form on your website or landing page so that you can send it to them. This person is now a prospect on your list.

The primary advantage of a solo ad is that it is the only message that a reader sees and it is sent by someone the reader knows and trusts.

While these ads do generally cost more than other online advertising, if you have proven ad copy and if your website is converting visitors into prospects, it provides a very good return on your investment.

The ad is normally in a text format, just like a regular email, and because it is only sent to people who are interested in what you have to offer, you are communicating to an audience who are more likely to buy from you, or at the very least, have an interest in what you have to sell. For example, if your website sells golf accessories, you may have some success if you advertise with a sports or leisure magazine. However, your return on investment will be higher if you know that your message is going to people who are specifically interested in golf and golf alone.

There are two ways that you can send out a solo ad.

This first article deals with buying 'names' from an online marketer who already has a big list of subscribers. Part 2 is about using Ezines.

You can contact an online marketer with a big list of subscribers and they will send your message to a section of their list for a fee. You will not know the names of the people who will receive your message. You purchase your solo ad based on the number of people that the list owner will send the message to - normally starting from around hundred names up to a few thousand.

When purchasing a campaign from an online marketer with a big list you will obviously pay more for your message to be sent to more people. Often a list owner will guarantee a set number of 'clicks'. This means that they will send out your message to a pre-determined number of people and guarantee that these people will open your email message and 'click' on the link to your website or landing page.

It is always worth contacting the list owner prior to purchasing a campaign to ensure that their list will be receptive to your offer and when they will be able to send it out. Unless you have established a good relationship with the list owner you may have to wait a week or two before your ad is sent out and you may not have the option of the exact day that it is sent. Also, some list owners will write the ad copy, so make sure that they fully aware of the benefits of your product or service.

Do 'shop around' as there are many list sellers who charge different prices for sending out to the same number of names. You do get what you pay for, so sometimes the cheapest is not necessarily the best. Always check for testimonials from others who have purchased from the list owner.

What Does Work-Life Balance Mean Today?

Work-life balance is a term that refers to maintaining harmony between your career and personal life. Enjoying a work-life balance is necessary for business success today, as overworking yourself can lead to burnout.

As mentioned above, "work-life balance" is a fairly new term. Traditionally, work was necessary for day-to-day survival for most people, so the average person did not see it as separate from "life." Most people worked alongside their family members, for their own sustenance or profit, and often on property they lived on, juggling chores and family duties throughout the day.

Only in the mid-1800s, with the birth of industry, did work become separate from daily, necessary tasks. Factory labor required consistency, travel away from the home, and set schedules to achieve business success, leading to a greater work ethic in society, but also the division of life and labor.

In our modern world, many strategies exist for balancing work and life, such as:

1. Taking regular vacations
2. Sprinkling short breaks throughout the day
3. Using days off strictly for family and leisure
4. Requesting flex hours at work
5. Scheduling time after work specifically for hobbies
6. Telecommuting or focusing on home-based businesses

The last one may be the most interesting because, in a way, it is actually bringing back the conditions that existed before the industrial revolution. Many people are once more working where they live, near their families, and for themselves. Instead of blocking out eight-hour periods for work or leisure, the average telecommuter or home-based entrepreneur handles both business and personal duties throughout the day.

In our view, this offers an alternative solution to the work-life balance problem. If this division was created artificially, it could also be removed.

As the economies of developed countries start putting more weight on providing services instead of goods, and more menial tasks are becoming automated, average people have more opportunities to make a living doing activities they enjoy. Work and leisure no longer have to be so separate.

Basically, entrepreneurship, telecommuting, home-based businesses, and freelancing all offer opportunities to work toward business success on your own terms, making work a part of your life and life a part of your work.

As the Chinese philosopher Confucius said, "Choose a job you love, and you will never have to work a day in your life." Perhaps that is the ultimate key to work-life balance and business success.

So You Want to Make Good Money Online?

So you want to make some real money on the Internet? Yes?

Well, my first question is what have you already tried? Are you a complete 'newbie' or have you been at it for a while?

And my second question is... are you looking for a get-rich-quick solution, or are you prepared to do some work and learn the ropes?

For today I am going to assume that you are a totally innocent newbie. You have heard that fortunes can be made online and you want to get aboard and go for your share.

I spend several hours daily on the Internet and seem to be on every "guru's" mailing list, so I am bombarded with product launches almost daily, and some of them are very convincing. You have probably been hit with a few yourself.

They can be separated into basically two groups. The honest ones - genuine workable opportunities - and the scams! But how do you tell the difference?

The so-called "Gurus" are well aware that tens of thousands of new people start browsing the internet every day and that many of them are searching for ways to make real money online. They also know that we all have to some extent a desire to 'get-rich-quick'. It's a battle within ourselves between skepticism and optimism. We try to be rational but when somebody tells us we can 'get-rich-quick' we WANT to believe it. This leaves us open to the oh-so-convincing pitches of the scammers who tell us it can all be done in a few clicks by some miracle new software that exploits a flaw in the system, and that it will all be on autopilot so you don't have to lift a finger or understand any technology. And you get the whole deal for $39!

If you are gullible enough to take all that in, my bet is you have been let down a couple of times because the truth is that making real money online does take some knowledge and some effort! It is no different than any other kind of marketing (or business) in that sense because the way to make good money in any endeavor is basically always the same. Find a market sector with a need and fulfill it with and excellent product or service for an abundant exchange!

Think of your favorite company or service. Isn't that what they do and why you like them?

If you believe you can get rich without doing this then somebody else must be getting ripped off!

A big clue about the product is this: Do they spend all the time dangling fast cars, big mansions, beautiful girls and piles of dollar bills at you or do they actually tell you about the product or service that you will be marketing?

Personally I avoid the one click wonders and the systems that do it all for you and claim they require little or no effort on your behalf. Suppose they make you some real money for a little while and then stop working. What do YOU do then? (Buy the next enticing offer?)

Think about your favorite athlete or performer. He/she may look a complete natural but have you any idea how many hours they train or practice? You get my point? Anything worth having has to be worked for. The world of instant gratification is a fake - a druggies dream! And so are get-rich-quick promises.

So my message today is a simple one. There is a technology of how to make real money online and it is not that hard to learn, and there are "gurus" out there who will give you the straight dope without any curves or omissions. That might seem like the slow way to go about it but if you have bought a few programs that were all hype and mirrors you know how much time that wasted, and money too if you didn't get a refund.

Now if you don't believe me go ahead and buy a hyped up one-click-wonder software and find out for yourself! Then go to the URL below and I'll tell you what it actually takes to make real money online!

Key To Success In Business: 5 Facts To Focus On To Succeed In Your Online Home Business

The road to success in business has never been straight to most successful entrepreneurs I have had a chance to interact with. It's always full of ups and downs. But most of the successful business people you see around you or you hear being talked about have crosscutting characteristics, which really make them attain their goals irrespective of the obstacles they encounter along the way to success. Through this article, I would like to share with you 5 great ideas that have enabled most rich people to accumulate a lot of wealth.

One day, I was chatting with a colleague of mine, who has actually made his fortune from a real estate business. He narrated to me how he started his journey to success, the obstacles he encountered, the lessons he learnt and his future plans. I really saw a simple man in body but a great man in mind. It's not easy to find such visionary people and if you can have two or three of them around you, you can count yourself among the lucky persons.

This colleague of mine hinted on 5 important ideas that enabled him to become a very rich man and I got convinced that the same ideas can be of great importance to others. This is the reason why I chose to share them with you through this article.

1. The first key to success is in realizing that it takes time to grow a business to the level you want.

You have to work hard and determinedly long to make money in business. You have to take action every day, every week, every month and every year. Years can pass by before you begin to see some good money coming in from your business but when you are building a strong foundation for your business. If you persistently work on your business and remain focused, you begin to see some good results. Even Rome was not built in one day.

2. Educate yourself about the type of business you want to undertake before starting it.

It's a total mess for you to venture into a business on which you have scanty or no knowledge at all. Even after starting it, you have to keep on renewing yourself with new knowledge and skills.

A good number of people rush into businesses they have not fully understood. They just hear that a particular business is lucrative and they jump into it. That's a wrong and disastrous approach to business. You have to do some research to establish the facts. You have to research and continuously read to build your capacity, to learn new ways of doing business, to anticipate changes in people's tastes and preferences, desires and needs, to keep yourself up-to-date and to achieve your goals.

3. Having a stable family and a trusting relationship with people is a key to success in business.

No man is an island. And some people say that where there is a successful man, there is a woman behind the success. But I would like to add on that by saying that success also depends largely on the trusting relationships you have with the people who surround you and who do business with you. If you are disorganized at home and in the way you relate with your customers and other people, you cannot succeed in business.

4. Another key to success in business is credibility.

Be honest and trustworthy in your dealings with your customers. If you cannot pass the test of credibility, then you are just wasting your time and you will never succeed. Trust protects you and it has actually protected this colleague of mine. He mainly deals in real estate whereby he buys land, puts social services in place and sells it. Of course there are many other established property dealers in the marketplace. But because he has built a strong credibility, people feel confident and comfortable doing business with him. Do you see what trust can do for you? How trustful are you to your targeted customers? Do they feel you are trustworthy? Do you exhibit it in your actions?

5. Understand that obstacles are part of life.

As you walk your way to success, you will inevitably come across so many challenges, risks, failures and roadblocks. But if you want to succeed in your business, you should never allow those obstacles to derail you from achieving your goals. Remain focused and determined. A temporary defeat should never make you pull out of business because when you pull out, it becomes a sure way to failure. How about the time, the energy and the money you have invested in business, aren't you going to lose them?

When he finally went through the above five contributing factors to his success, he left me contemplating about how I could apply the same ideas to grow my small business. I also realized that I needed to continue rubbing shoulders with successful people like him. It's good to bring closer such people, who have made their way through and who can add a lot of value to your life.

Did You Think About Pros and Cons of Working From Home?

Undoubtedly, working from home has its good side and its bad. Regardless of whether you're just earning a little holiday money as a remote customer service rep or you have started a home based business that allows you to work from home, conducting your professional affairs from your personal dwelling creates neither a utopia or dystopia. Like everything in life, it breaks somewhere down the middle. Let's talk about possible cons and pros.

Cons

Distractions

Despite that the kids and spouse (or roommates and their boyfriends) are gone for the day, you still face a mountain of distractions. Even if you don't work from home on the Internet odds are that your work will somehow involve a computer, which means that you'll have access to the infinite hours of cats chasing after laser pointers and teenagers unsuccessfully trying to in-line skate down department store stairs.

In short, unless you can summon supernatural amounts of self-discipline, the distractions when you work from home can be a big pain in the backside.

More work

Who would have thought that you might actually be thankful for your old task master of a supervisor? Well, when you collect on a work from home opportunity you have actually acquired more work than you realize. You aren't responsible for just your work, but for managing you to manage your work.

Sometimes, this is not a big deal. If you can stay organized and motivated you may not even notice it. However, if you lack logistical capabilities, you may find yourself wanting someone to crack the whip.

Pros

No commute

With real work at home, you can say goodbye to all those life hours wasted watching bumpers and brightening red lights. This is not to be undervalued. If you live in an even moderately big town, you know the years of life that you burn through not because of the waiting, but because of the stress and frustration.

Return of independence

For some of us, a sense of independence is more valuable than any paycheck. Often, some of the hardest working people will hate their jobs not because they are lazy but because no paycheck can adequately compensate them for the time and energy they spent in the service of someone else. When you work from home, you can regain this sense of independence and let yourself truly enjoy and take pride in all of your professional efforts.

Think Your MLM Company Is the Real Reason You Lack Success in Network Marketing?

Now that you've enrolled in an MLM company, what do you do? Many new marketers come aboard simply trusting that enrolling is going to bring them instant riches. Well, this is simply not true as wealth is obtained with the right amount of time and effort. Similar to developing a traditional business, network marketing requires focused effort to attract the target audience that would like to spend their cash with you personally. It truly has never been the responsibility of any MLM company or product which has led a network marketer to feel failure to achieve success in building their business. It is simply a lack of 'know how' that frustrates these marketers and keeps them from growing a rewarding home business. The MLM secret is very simple: You must establish a 'list' and manage the leads provided by way of your list just like they are your sole customers. This is because the reality is that you will only make money from people that value exactly what you are offering. So having a list gives you a database of on-demand contacts which have given you permission to reach out to them with value specific to their needs. Through providing value, others will begin to learn how you choose to do business, gain knowledge from your success journey, and come directly to you when prepared to start their own business. *Note: Please adjust to being patient throughout this process as time is needed to create a high quality list, but as soon as you do the rewards are endless!

With MLM marketing, major financial success is based on the efforts from your downline. So if you're unable to teach your team how to develop a home-based business, then yours will grow slowly as it sustains solely off your marketing efforts. This is Network Marketing and it really is "the team that makes the dream work"....at least faster and more profitable in this particular industry. So develop a 'plan for success' to share with new associates in order to get them started the right way and encourage loyalty to the business.

MLM SUCCESS FORMULA FOR HOME BUSINESS BUILDERS

Step One: Create your marketing funnel
Step Two: Get traffic
Step Three: Turn traffic into high-quality leads
Step Four: Register people directly into a funded proposal
Step Five: Sponsor new members into your primary MLM company

Since this success formula displays each phase in creating a successful home based business, it is very important to recognize that there's a learning curve at every step. No one is going to develop a multi level marketing business to achieve monumental success overnight. Don't rush, seeing as you will find yourself with the ability to make use of the information that you are learning to give to others. When you're able to present something of high value to a prospect, you can expect to begin to create a solid business and possess access to unlimited income potential.

How To Stay Productive When You Feel Like Quitting

It happens to everyone there are mornings when you get up and just feel like quitting right there and then. It's happened to me and I'll bet it's happen to you along with every other person who is in business for themselves. After all, not everything goes the way you want it to, things can and do go wrong.

The feeling to quit is NOT due to laziness but rather motivation. This is especially true if you are new to Internet-marketing, blogging or in fact any business. You have put in the hard yards, worked like crazy, and for what? Little or no results? Yes it is depressing to work so hard and not see any results we all like to be rewarded for our work.

So what are the options? Quit? Throw away all that hard work and go back to working at the job you promised yourself you would never work at again. Give up on your dreams? And settle for the mediocre lifestyle you don't really enjoy. Is that what you REALLY want to do? Or do you still desire that millionaire lifestyle, the freedom to work your own hours, travel, spend more time with the family? Of course you would rather chose your dream lifestyle right?

When I first started out in Internet-marketing I was working long hours, longer than I ever imagined for virtually nothing. I would see blogs which I felt did not compare with mine yet these people where making money hand over fist. Hard to swallow and even harder not to feel envious. Yet, deep inside, I knew it was possible to make more than just a living from internet-marketing. I discovered it takes patience, dedication and at times, a fake-it-till-it-becomes- real mindset.

Even when you feel like quitting TAKE ACTION. It is so important to take some form of action no matter how small. By taking action your mind is once more focused on your goals. Doesn't have to be a massive amount of action but do take action. You're not going to get over the feeling of quitting by lying in bed feeling sorry for yourself. In fact that type of 'action' will only make you feel worse as guilt will start to rear its ugly head.

Remember too there aren't really any get-rich-quick schemes (well there maybe but more than likely they lead straight to jail). Any successful person will tell you that success is not an over-night happening. It takes time to build a successful business. Time and dedication.

Each day, depending on how much time you have available, work on your business. Be realistic about your time frames if you only have two hours then make those two hours a productive time. Don't waste them reading through a mass of emails just read the important ones and move on to areas which will be income producing.

When the feelings of quitting are around don't focus on the monetary side. Yes I know that's not easy because we all want to make money. But if you are at the stage in your business where the money is not flowing in focusing on the monetary aspect will more than likely make you feel even bluer.

Dedication is also important. Sadly many people take the easy option when the blues hit. They head for the exit door. When, with a little more dedication and perseverance, their big break may well be just around the corner.

Too many hopeful newbies, quit too soon. They read all the blurbs about how so and so made mega-bucks in a matter of days but what they don't realize is that, that person has either put in years of hard work and research before hitting the mega-bucks or frankly, is downright scamming people.

Perseverance is the key to success in any business or in fact, anything in life.

Quitting is not really an option if you truly BELIEVE in what you are working to achieve. Belief is also a very important factor. It can be very difficult to continue to believe, totally and utterly, in your goals especially when friends, family and the local shop keeper are all telling you that you are crazy and that you need to 'get a proper job'. In my experience there are just too many people around all ready and willing to aid you in quitting but very few who will actually encourage you not to give up. So make sure you avoid, where ever possible, the nay-sayers. Especially when you feel like quitting.

So there you have it. The choice is yours. Do you really want to quit? Or do you want to stay the course?.

Success is just around the corner. Stay true to yourself. Believe in your dreams. Work consistently on your business. Persistence is better than genius. Daily dedication is the key to overcoming the feelings of quitting.

Stay productive and the feeling of quitting will dissipate quicker than you realize.

Working From Home Considerations

The resurgence in the idea of working from home

Given the continuing state of the depressed economy, its no wonder that people aspire to alternative employment from the comfort of their living room or basement.

However, one should be aware that working from home poses its own challenges, despite the perks that people usually target.

Obviously, having a basic plan and focus is crucial to make working from home a success. And do not forget, discipline is vital:

  • Allocate a quiet place to work from.
  • Try to avoid being distracted by attention seekers (pets, kids, etc).
  • Time management - allow for breaks, shopping and household chores, TV time, general socialising, etc.
  • Request family and friends to try and not disturb you during your allocated work time.
  • Avoid volunteering for too many activities. Many people will assume that because you work at home you are free to help them run errands, pick up their children from school or be an emergency babysitter if their child has a cold.
  • Create a proper work atmosphere for yourself - stick to your schedule, wear "work" clothes, keep a diary/calender to stay on task.
  • Keep your desk and general work area tidy. A tidy workspace helps keep a tidy mind, making your day more productive.
  • Don't go back to work when you've finished. Had a great idea for a post? Fantastic, write down the basics on a note, and pin it up. Don't go back to work when you've finished! It goes without saying that it is important to maintain a work/life balance.
  • Music tends to influence moods, so be careful what you listen to, if you must listen to music.
  • Avoid acid forming foods - these have a tendency to drain your energy levels.
  • Be a little cynical of the vast army of "gurus" offering tips on working from home; most of these will lead to you spending money, not the opposite!

Just like every other employment, treat working from home as a proper job! Okay, so you don't get employer benefits and perks, but consider the value of no rush hour traffic, expensive lunches, being able to shop for fresh foodstuff for dinner, being able to finish household chores during the weekdays leaving weekends free. But most of all, do not let working from home blur the boundaries between work and personal life - if you work too hard, you will have no personal life left.

Beware of the scammers:

For every one legitimate online opportunity there are likely fifty+ scams. The internet is littered with less than reputable sites offering magical income, but all they will do is try to upsell upgrade ideas to you, once they have hooked you with an initial promise of riches. Always try to find independent reviews before you commit to spending money on untested promises.

A sad fact of life is that people seeking income replacement are at their most vulnerable, and the sharks out there have only one ulterior motive. There is really no such thing as a magic package out there which allows one to make a lot of money on the internet with very little effort.

To be perfectly honest there are many different ways to make money online, and working from home can be rewarding. However, there's a big difference between a legitimate online jobs and the unsolicited offers that most of us, no doubt have witnessed as clutter in our inboxes.

The following are but a taste of legitimate job ideas in working from home with little investment on your part:

Taking Surveys:

  • Online surveys should be with real market-research companies.
  • Do not be tempted by websites who attempt to charge money upfront for survey opportunities.
  • Have realistic expectations and comprehend that you're not going to make a full-time income taking surveys.
  • Big brands pay research companies to get their surveys done. Sign up with a handful of research companies because there may be times when you do not qualify for any specific demographic requirements.

Create your Own Website:

  • With a website you can engineer various sources of income, primarily making money through advertising networks such as AdSense or affiliate marketing.
  • You do not need to be a programming genius. WordPress, for example, enables you to create a website and host it for free. It will be a slow, but satisfying process once you start generating income - but take the precaution of focusing on one idea at a time. There are many examples of folks giving up because of lack of focus and getting overwhelmed with various "guru" ideas.
  • Making money with a website is no different to starting your own business and if you're willing to work hard, have a vision and a passion for self-employment then there is no reason not to succeed.

Online Jobs:

  • Find forums or job boards on the kind of work you want to do.

  • Some brief training and the ability to pass a background check may be required.

  • For you creative types, you can find work at home opportunities in almost any industry. Programming or graphic design experience can open the door for many opportunities.

  • Typical jobs include:
    1. Tutoring and teaching online
    2. Customer service
    3. Data entry
    4. Accounting
    5. Writing & Reviewing
    6. Medical Billing
    7. Online help

Browse the Net:

With ever more retail and advertising dollars being spent online, insights into online behaviour is worth millions of dollars to large companies who do business online. Understanding people's browsing habits has become huge business.

The above is by no means an exhaustive list of ideas for working from home, but i hope it gives you some inspiration.

Here's to your success at working from home!
